Bring plenty of business cards and make a profitable day out of The Cambridge B2B Exhibition. Visitors have the chance to reduce business costs, check out what the competitions up to and network. In partnership with Cambridgeshire Chamber of Commerce who are running a 'Meet the Buyer' seminar, St John's Innovation Centre will be offering a 'Understanding Finance for Business' workshop.

The workshops will be taking place upstairs in the Boardwalk Room of The Boardwalk Centre, throughout the day.

Businesses interested in breaking into some of the county's leading public sector organisations will be given the opportunity to gain valuable information on winning public sector contracts.

Understanding Finance for Business Workshop

Looking for more than £10,000 funding? Not sure what options are open to you? We deliver a programme called ‘Understanding Finance for Business’ on behalf of EEDA. It is free to participate and gives you access to a wealth of knowledge and expertise. If you sign up, it will help you:

• understand the advantages/disadvantages of different types of finance
• identify what is required for different types of finance e.g. grant, bank loan, angel or venture capital funding
• see your business from an investor's perspective e.g. what are they looking for from your business
• access tailored help from experienced mentors
In delivering ‘Understanding Finance for Business’, we draw on a wealth of experience within our team of advisors who have years of experience under their belts, helping early stage entrepreneurs develop and refine their business propositions and secure the funding they need to start or grow.
