We have a vision which comes from the unique nature of the Cambridge technology community. There are and have been other initiatives to share information amongst members of our community. But we believe that we are the first and only website which aims to actively involve the professionals who work in this sector. And we firmly believe that information should circulate freely, because that is where the source of Cambridge innovation lies.
Through this website, CamTechNet hopes to fulfill the following goals.
- To provide a single platform to publicise all sources of information relating to the high-tech community in the Cambridge area.
- To provide a forum where the experience and knowledge gained is shared, for others to learn from.
- To link like minded people across many technology sectors, and allow them to post and comment on news and events.
- To provide a single platform for presenting high-tech jobs in the Cambridge area, as advertised directly by employers.
In order to reach these goals, CamTechNet will abide by the following principles.
- Be free in all its functionalities for all registered users and groups operating within the Cambridge area.
- Provide visibility to every registered user and group, and their associated news and events.
- Provide a platform where individual companies can showcase themselves.
